The North Santa Cruz County SELPA is creating a legislative link through technology. If you have access to internet or can receive a Fax, we want to keep you informed. During the 2004/2005 school year, major legislation for special education was addressed. Were you informed? Did you participate? How did you influence the outcome? Did you have support? Your commitment is to respond to the information provided with Email, Faxes and letters to your elected officials. We will support your efforts with sample letters and timely requests. Our commitment is to provide you with information on our internet web site and by Email and Fax. The information provided will address special education issues as identified by the Legislative Action Committee and Community Advisory Committee. If you have questions about other issues related to special education or other legislation, we will try to help you obtain additional information. You can expect: fact sheets, summaries, instructions, analysis, positions, sample letters, etc. Periodically we will ask what you have done with the information and ask if you would like to continue. You are invited to participate. |
